Well, this is awkward.
We all have our celebrity crushes. Whether it’s everyone’s favourite such as George Clooney, or you go that little bit weirder with the likes of Louis Theroux, it’s safe to say that every person in the world carries a little flame for a celeb.
Yes, we know that nothing will ever happen with them, but a girl can dream… right?
However, when the (former?) One Direction boys were in their prime, it’s safe to say that teenyboppers all around the globe absolutely fell in love with them, and followed them everywhere they went.
Now that they have split up (seriously, when will that hiatus end?!), they have all been doing their own thing, and Mullingar native Niall Horan has been touring after the release of his album Flicker.
One fan got to meet him backstage at one of his concerts, and got a picture with him. As you do. She proceeded to post the picture to Instagram Stories, with a poll along with the caption “Should we date?”

Now, we believe that she was likely taking the piss, but it seems Niall may not have as he actually answered the poll… and it was a big, fat NO.
We don’t know what’s more awkward… the fact that Niall actually replied, or the question in the first place. Eeeek!
