TikTok star Patrick Perkins has confirmed the passing of his twin brother Adam, aged 24.
The Boston social media stars, who became known for their viral videos on now defunct site Vine, were best known for their parody and comedy videos on the platform.
Patrick confirmed the passing of his “brother and best friend” this week.

“I can’t even really put into words what this loss means for me,” he said on Instagram. “I’m often asked the question, “what’s it like to be a twin?” and my response is usually, “what’s it like to NOT be a twin?”
“Being a twin is a very central part of my identity. It’s all i’ve known, and I’m struggling to find the words to explain what it will be like for me to live in this world without him. My best friend.”

Patrick went onto say that he will be releasing Adam’s album Latch Relay on limited edition vinyl in honour of his twin. “It will be the first release on Plas Teg Records ( @plas.teg ), a label that will seek to fulfil his musical destiny that was so tragically cut short,” he said.
“I love you, my best friend Adam. 1997-forever.”
Patrick went on to share a series of photos in memory of his brother. Following the news, many fans and fellow social media stars took to Twitter and elsewhere to pay their respects to Adam.

“Rest in peace Adam Perkins,” wrote one person. “You brought so much comfort and laughter to so many people. We’ll never forget you legend. Sending love to his family especially his brother Patrick. 1997-forever.” Another said: “RIP to a hero, a legend.”
Perkins’ ex Kelton Elliott also shared a tribute on Instagram, writing: “This past weekend my forever best friend and ex-boyfriend passed, and I’ve been devastated.”
