TV Star Reveals How She Was Told She Wouldn’t Be Considered For Other Shows… Because Her Boobs Weren’t Big Enough

One of TV’s most familiar faces Carol Vorderman has revealed she was told she couldn’t be a TV star... because her boobs weren’t big enough.

The 52-year-old said she was checked off a list by an unnamed boss in the eighties when she asked to be considered for TV roles, the Irish Sun reports.

The reasoning? Forget about her brains, her boobs weren’t big enough.

Carol was three years into her 26-year stint on run on Countdown at the time.

Carol Vorderman said she's not bitter about the incident. 

“He’d been drinking,” she said.

“He sat in his chair, put his feet on the desk and said, ‘Nah love, your tits aren’t big enough’.”

Carol said she isn’t bitter about the episode.

“I don’t hold resentments, life and times have moved on. But that was the time we lived in.”

The BBC have promised to investigate the claim.
