Twilight Star Inconsolable As Dog Dies In Blaze At Hollywood Apartment

Twilight star, Ashley Greene’s apartment was destroyed in a fire yesterday, apparently caused by an unattended candle. However, the actress is devastated as one of her beloved dogs has died in the blaze.

The actress and her unnamed boyfriend, who many believe to be Ryan Phillippe, were awoken by the fire and managed to escape. One of her toy fox terrier dogs managed to survive the fire, however one unfortunately died in the incident.

Firemen battled to get the blaze under control and went in to save the puppies on discovering they were still at the scene, but the dog was found dead under her bed in the apartment. Greene was spotted later outside the apartment block, covered in soot and cradling the dead dog in a blanket, according to the Daily Mail.

The incident occurred at Granville Towers, a famous apartment block that has also housed the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Mickey Rourke.

A preliminary investigation determined that the sitting room couch was set alight by a candle, according to TMZ. Three unidentified people were treated for minor injuries.
