Vicky Pattison has been the centre of a media furore this week, amid rumours that she was sacked from Blind Date and I’m A Celebrity…Extra Camp.
In a bid to clear up the misunderstanding, the former Geordie Shore regular took to her Instagram account to explain what happened, in her own words.
The 29-year-old said that she was originally in talks to present Blind Date as at the time, it was set to be a Friday night show aimed at a younger audience.
However, producers changed their focus and now want to appeal to the entire family, bringing Paul O’Grady on as host and Melanie Sykes lending voiceover skills.
Vicky then went on to acknowledge the reports that she has been axed from her presenting role on I’m A Celebrity…Extra Camp.
In the Instagram videos, which you can watch below, she explains that a decision simply hasn’t been made yet as other shows, namely Love Island and Saturday Night Takeaway are taking top priority for now.
