Victoria Beckham releases statement in light of the Spice Girls reunion announcement

Say it ain't so...

Today, the news we’ve all been waiting for FINALLY broke.

The Spice Girls are officially coming back.

Geri Horner, Mel C, Mel B and Emma Bunton broke the news on social media with a pretty great video that you just have to see, because once you do, all the Spice Girl vibes will come flooding back.

But alas, one piece of the fivesome was missing, our loved Posh Spice AKA Victoria Beckham.

As the news broke that the band was reuniting, fans couldn’t help but feel sad that all members weren’t making a return and mainly, fans wondered why VB wasn’t joining forces with the girls once more?

And so, to clear the air, the former Posh released a statement alongside the girls’ reunion picture to Instagram writing:

“Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!

“I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year.

“I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time.”

So it looks like Victoria Beckham has simply outgrown her popband days and that’s fair enough too, as she’s now a mum-of-four as well as a fashion powerhouse.

Regardless, Spice Girls fever is truly taking over Her HQ, with the girl’s summer stadium tour kicking off on June 1 at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium. They will wrap up at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 15.

Sure, a cheap flight and overnight accomodation won’t break the bank, right?
