Celeb watchers at the ready; James Franco and Seth Rogen are Naked and Afraid.

No, it’s not their new movie – that’s The Interview and it’s due out on Christmas Day.

Naked and Afraid, for the uninitiated, is instead one of the stranger programmes on The Discovery Channel’s roster.

Billed as taking “survival of the fittest to the next level”, the show pairs two total strangers, one man and one woman, each week and leaves them stranded in and exposed to some of the world’s most extreme weather environments.

In advance of their new buddy comedy, Franco and Rogen have filmed a special episode of the show, due to air on December 7th.

In the first clip, shown on Good Morning America this week, we see the pair being surprised to see each other at the outset of the challenge.

“I was hoping to be teamed up with a woman, but I guess Franco’s the next best thing,” Rogen says.
