Waka Waka Wow! Shakira Confirms She is Pregnant!

Shakira will certainly have to cut down on those belly-dancing routines that she has become famous for now that she is pregnant!

The 35 year old singer, who is in a relationship with 25 year old Barcelona footballer Gerard Pique, informed fans of the good news via her website yesterday.

She wrote: “As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby.” The cute pair have been dating for two years.

Both Shakira and Gerard are said to be overjoyed with the news.

The announcement ends weeks of speculation after the Columbian beauty was spotted wearing a number of loose-fitting tops recently. And there we were thinking she was just having a few comfort days!

As well as cutting out such things as shellfish for the next while, Shakira also revealed that any performances and appearances would also be put off.

“At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days,” including the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas she explained.

The singer has cancelled a number of appearances to enjoy this time.

But the she wolf won’t be putting off everything for the next nine months as she is set to replace Christina Aguilera as a judge on the US version of The Voice.

So it looks as if it’s going to be a very busy year for the 'Wherever Whenever' songstress whose hips certainly won’t be lying in a few months time!
