“We’ve had the results from my latest scan…and I’m delighted to say it is STABLE.”

Tom Parker has shared a positive update on his health after being diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour last year.

The Wanted star took to Instagram to explain that, according to his latest test results, his tumour is “under control”.

Parker shared a picture with his wife Kelsey and their two young children, complete with balloons in the background fit for a celebration.

In the caption, he said: “I’m sat here with tears in my eyes as I tell you. We’ve got my brain tumour under control.

“We’ve had the results from my latest scan…and I’m delighted to say it is STABLE.”

The musician continued: “Such a mix of emotions. We couldn’t ask for any more really at this point; a year or so into this journey.

“Honestly over the moon. We can sleep a little easier tonight.”

He finished up by thanking his fans and followers for all their “love and support” over the past 12 months, and signed the message off from himself, as well as Kelsey and their children Aurelia and Bo.

Needless to say, friends and fans were delighted to hear the news.

Girls Aloud star Kimberly Walsh commented on the post describing it as the “most AMAZING news”, while Westlife’s Kian Egan wrote that he was “so so happy to hear”.

Tom’s been sharing health updates since he was first diagnosed last year.

Just a few weeks ago, he told his fans that he hopes to be cancer-free by March, despite doctors giving him 12-18 months to live.

He told The Sun: “They give you 12 to 18 months of survival. But that’s the general statistics. Everyone we’ve spoken to has been way, way beyond that.

“Now, we’re aiming to be cancer-free by March. That’s the aim. This disease is always there.”
