September 4th, marked the birthday of one of the most influential women in music (and the world) as Beyonce Knowles a.k.a Mrs Carter turned 33.
The Internet was inundated with birthday wishes and today husband Jay Z revealed the gift he gave his wife.
It has been quite the year for Beyoncé as her personal life was propelled into the spotlight following the infamous Jay Z and Solange lift debacle at the 2014 Met Gala afterparty. Amid several break up rumours, the couple’s ‘On The Run Tour’ was a phenomenal success, earning the pair a combined $100 million.
Beyoncé and Jay Z put on a united front at the MTV VMA’s last week with the birthday girl performing a 15-minute medley of hits, referencing the bust up in a remix of hit song ‘Flawless’, “Of course sometimes shit go down when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator”.
Jay Z's gift is a montage of clips taken from over the year and the 33-second-long YouTube video ends with the rapper uttering the words 'Yeah B'.
