He seems to have nailed the sound of heartache, and Sam Smith’s latest offering ‘Stay With Me’ has been climbing the charts for weeks now.
Last night on Late Show with David Letterman, Londoner Smith performed the song, leaving both the audience and the host speechless. The 22-year old is clearly moved whilst singing the song and seems to have been caught up in the moment, but it doesn’t affect his vocals.
The star previously spoke candidly to FADER magazine, telling the publication that his debut album is about “a guy that I fell in love with last year, and he didn’t love me back”.
This is actually just a stunning performance, and in our humble opinion, even better than the original.
