“We’re Both Doing Great” – Jennifer Ellison Gives Birth To A Baby Boy

Actress Jennifer Ellison has given birth to her third child. The former Brookside star and boxer husband, Robbie Tickle, welcomed a baby boy Charlie yesterday morning. The 31-year-old announced the news on her Twitter account, telling fans that both Mum and baby were doing great.

Earlier in the year, Ellison revealed to OK! Magazine that the pregnancy news came as a surprise as doctors had said it was unlikely that she would naturally conceive another child. “I have really bad ovarian cysts and the doctors said I wouldn’t be able to conceive again – then this happens!” she told the magazine. Ellison and Tickle are already parents to four-year-old Bobby and eleven-month-old Harry. Last year, the actress opened up about her battle with postnatal depression on ITV's Daybreak.   “There was kind of the baby blues that never went away and it was only that I was very lucky that my mum had suffered with it that she saw the signs straight away so my postnatal depression was treated pretty quickly,” she explained. “But there’s so many women out there who are suffering with it and there’s such a stigma attached to it… we’re programmed to think that this is the most special time in your life and you’re going to have this instant bond and this instant connection and for some Mums it just doesn’t happen and then they feel that they’re a failure [sic].”
