Woman Who Stalked Kevin Spacey For Two Years Has Been Jailed

The woman who stalked House of Cards star Kevin Spacey for two years, has been jailed.

Fifty-five-year-old Linda Louise Culkin, who threatened the actor on multiple occasions, was locked up yesterday having been sentenced to four years in a federal prison.

The Massachusetts woman was also ordered to pay Spacey $124,000 for the bodyguards that he was forced to hire after she threatened him with torture, disembowelment and castration.

Spacey had to have increased security as a result.

Culkin was arrested in January 2012. Last November, she pleaded guilty to the charges brought against her which included mailing threatening communications and sending false information regarding explosives.

She put forward a defence whereby she blamed her behaviour on “mental health issues” and “didn’t mean it to be as vindictive as it came out” before apologising to the star.

Spacey was not in court for the sentencing but he said in an impact statement that it was “difficult to measure the degree of terror” he felt.

Culkin has been in jail since her arrest in January 2012 which means she has about 18 months left to serve on her sentence.
