X Factor's Amelia Lily is reportedly joining the next season of Geordie Shore.

According to The Sun, the 25-year-old will start filming for the MTV show this week. Amelia first shot to fame on The X Factor in 2011, where she finished in third place overall. After appearing in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and American Idiot, she went on to join Celebrity Big Brother in 2017. An insider said that Geordie Shore bosses are "made up" that they have signed Amelia for the show - and are hoping she will "make it the best series yet." They added:

"Bosses are made up they've signed Amelia for the show and promise she will make it the best series yet. "She's always up for a laugh and will make great telly for viewers. Amelia's not shy about saying what she thinks either so things could get explosive."

It comes as Chloe Ferry is said to have returned to the show, without her on-again-off-again ex, Love Island's Sam Gowland. A source told the publication, though, that Chloe has called things off for good - and she's keen for a clean slate when she starts filming again. "Chloe has completely wiped her hands of Sam and she wants him out of her life for good," the insider added.
