X Factor’s Anthony Russell has been kicked off the live tour for a pretty shocking reason

Not good.

Anthony Russel has reportedly been kicked off the X Factor Live Tour for good. The news comes after a cleaner found suspicious looking small plastic bags in his hotel room. It is believed that these bags were drug-related.

The singer was on his last warning over his partying and it was decide that a drugs scandal was the final straw.

Anthony, who finished third in the competition last year, was due on stage on Monday evening, but left the tour hours before.

A source told The Sun:

"He's off the tour completely and he won't be coming back."

"All the other performers are gutted because Anthony is a lovely bloke. But he's got these demons he can't control at the moment."

A spokesperson for the tour confirmed that Anthony had left for "personal reasons."

Anthony was brought to the live shows of X Factor by Louis Tomlinson, who told him during the Judge's Houses round that "of course he would be making it to the final rounds". Very talented young man, to be fair. Anthony pulled out of the show in 2017, due to personal reasons, but returned in 2018.

ITV confirmed at the time:

"Anthony has been going through some personal issues for some time – as he sang about at his audition. Those issues were still affecting him."

"Everyone has urged him to concentrate on getting himself better right now. Production are all very fond of him and think he has really potential so have told him, if he straightens himself out, they would love him to have another shot at X Factor next year."

"That is the perfect incentive for him to get his life back on track. Everyone hopes he will come back next year healthier."

Anthony said, when he came back in 2018: "I thought I had a shot at this, I could be someone – and then I started going down a rocky road, making bad choices, the wrong decisions, started getting weak."

"I wouldn’t have been in this place I am now – a good place – if it wasn’t for Louis."
