30 Of the Best Moments from the Rose of Tralee, Night Two

And it all came down to this...

Rebecca McKnight

On Tuesday night, the 14 remaining Roses took to the stage of the Dome, following in the footsteps of Monday’s 18 lovely ladies.

There was some training for Daithí, yet more poems, TWO Mary Black numbers and shaking from wee Daniel you’ve never seen the likes of before.

While we’re sad it’s all over for another year, we’re grateful for the memories. Here are our top moments from night two. (Of course if you missed Monday, you can catch up here.)

1) Twitter was in countdown mode for at least an hour out

2) New York had the tough task of leading the pack… we felt a bit sorry for her until we learned about her wardrobe!

3) We learned that the London Rose is good to have around in a crisis

4) But then we got another poem and most of us had had enough

5) Galway took us back to our childhood

6) Wee Daniel was enjoying all the green room perks

7) We took a moment to remember

8) This happened and it was ever so slightly awkward

9) South Carolina promised us a dance

10) And it was glorious

11) One of the talents was using a skipping rope

12) Dublin made us all really sad

13) At one stage, it all just got a bit too much for Daithí

14) Then it was time for the news break

15) But we knew the best was yet to come…

16) Then we were back! And Will Leahy never said hello to us. #NotBitter

17) Louth was worth the wait. The country fell in love.

18) Abu Dhabi, beautifully dressed in Marion Murphy Cooney, made us all cry

19) Cuteness alert

20) Fatigue alert

21) Scotland took a selfie on the stage

22) But then rocked a mammy favourite

23) We were all waiting for the man of the hour

24) Texas was put on the spot before she sang a classic(al) number

25) Germany used her time on stage wisely, before being surprised by the FA Cup

26) Philadelphia had a unique talent

27) Chicago rounded off the night with another Mary Black number

28) Then it was Daniel’s time to shine. WOAH

29) We took an informal poll and…

30) KNEW IT

And just like that, it was all over for another year.
