4 new Netflix releases to watch this Bank Holiday weekend

Keeley Ryan

There have been plenty of amazing additions to Netflix over the last few days.

From Beyoncé’s documentary to addictive new romantic comedies, the streaming service have added a load of new things just in time for the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

Which, really, means great news if you’re planning on staying in this weekend and are looking for something new to watch.

Here are four new additions to Netflix to check out this weekend.

Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé

Homecoming presents an intimate look at Beyoncé’s historic 2018 Coachella performance that paid homage to America’s historically black colleges and universities.

Interspersed with candid footage and interviews detailing the preparation and powerful intent behind her vision, Homecomingtraces the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement.

Lunatics

The 10-part comedy series, presented as a documentary, examines the lives of six extraordinary individuals and explores the idea that people are not what they seem at first.

Through documentary interviews, self recorded and fly on the wall footage the six intriguing subjects are observed over a period of months – and their stories unfold with hilarious results. As eccentric and odd as they all are, they are scarily recognisable types and they teach us that its ok to just be you.

Samantha!

A child star in the 80’s, Samantha is now a washed up has-been, who desperately clings to the fringes of celebrity with hilarious hare-brained schemes to launch herself back into the spotlight.

Someone Great

Aspiring music journalist Jenny (Gina Rodriguez) has just landed her dream job at an iconic magazine and is about to move to San Francisco.Rather than do long distance, her boyfriend of nine years decides to call it quits.

To nurse her broken heart, Jenny gathers up her two best friends Erin and Blair for one outrageous last adventure in New York City.
