Sunday nights involve two things for us – feeling sorry for ourselves that the weekend is over and movies.
Yep, we love nothing more than drowning out our sorrows for a few hours with a good movie (and ideally a glass of wine) hence our everlasting love affair with Netflix.
Always there waiting with new releases, every weekend we turn to it for a fresh list of options.
Well, to narrow down that list just a little, we’ve picked out five of our favourite new releases and they all just happen to be romantic movies.
We swear it means nothing.

1. Bridget Jones’ Baby
Plot: When perennially single Bridget finds herself pregnant at age 43, she has to figure out if she’s ready for motherhood – and who the baby’s father is.
2. Atonement
Plot: Young Briony fingers a young man for a crime after she discovers a lustful letter and witnesses a sexual encounter between him and her sister.
3. Nights in Rodanthe
Plot: When a hurricane hits a coastal North Carolina inn and strands the only guest, surgeon Paul Flanner a young woman’s life changes forever.
4. Almost friends
Plot: The life of a talented but disillusioned young man takes unexpected turns when a new love interest and an estranged father enter his life.
5. Sierra Burgess is a Loser
Plot: A wrong-number text sparks a virtual romance between a smart but unpopular teen and a sweet jock who thinks he’s talking to a gorgeous cheerleader.
