Pop on your finest oversized blazer, throw in some shoulder pads, backcomb your hair, sport bold, bright colours and sing your heart out to 27 of the biggest original 80s bands ever!

Yep, THIS WEEKEND, July 5, it’s the Forever Young Festival where 80s fanatics (and those who are quite simply, up for a good time) will be heading to the Palmerstown House Estate in Naas, Kildare, for an entire weekend of terrific music, food and feel-good vibes!

So, yeah, it sounds pretty class to be fair. Whether it’s Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up or Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s Relax that brings back the greatest 80s feels for you, there’s a piece from the glorious 80s for every music fan here.

Thousands of us adults will be setting our sights on superb 80s acts with the Main Stage (only stage — how handy!) hosting 27 original 80s icons including The Human League, Holly Johnson, Kim Wilde, Jimmy Somerville, Marc Almond, Midge Ure, Bonnie Tyler and many more, plus a smaller Great Pretenders Stage with tribute acts The Bootleg Police, Wham! Tribute Show, The Joshua Tree, OMD Manoeuvres and The Bon Jovi Experience!

Within the Festival Arena, festival goers will have countless drinks and food options to choose from too.

With a myriad of Irish Craft beers, sparkling ciders, exceptional wines, a Pimm’s Bar, a Beetlejuice Cocktail Bar (very fitting indeed) plus soft drinks, freshly brewed coffees and teas, we’ll be a spoiled bunch.

In terms of food — there’s further reason to get excited. Gluten-free, halal, vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian options are available (hurrah!) and you should ensure you tuck into the delicious nosh from the likes of the Barbecue Cowboys, Pie Monsters, Knockout Pizzas, Berlin Kebabs, Kerala Kitchen, The Pasta Wagon and oodles more.

The Forever Young Festival Arena also features a Fairground, a Silent Disco (enter Rick James’ Super Freak), pop up stores, a Quiet Zone and plenty more to keep you entertained from Friday through Sunday.

So, friends, prepare to dress up, show up, let loose and most importantly — relive the best years that were the 80s!

Get your tickets right here and with no booking fee either. A small number of Tier 2 priced tickets (€107) are still available, with this Tier 2 pricing ending at midnight on Thursday, or when sold out.

In terms of making your way to the festival, Travel Master are operating daily, pre-book only, return Festival shuttles from Dublin and various points in Kildare. You’ll need to book these in advance at www.travelmaster.ie.

While campers will begin arriving on Friday, the Festival Arena itself will open at midday on Saturday and Sunday, with live music starting both days at 2pm and running until 11pm. The Late-Night Area will remain open until 1am on Saturday and midnight on Sunday.

The day to day artists have already been announced and running order and stage times will be revealed each morning at the Festival. All artists perform on the Main Stage and the live music runs from 2pm to 11pm.
