Reports suggest the sexy Vampires are coming back and this couldn’t happen soon enough!

True Blood fans will be thrilled to hear that HBO and the original creator of the show are planning a reboot of the vampire series according to sources close to Variety in the US.

In even more exciting news, Riverdale’s Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is reportedly the man behind the project, he’s also the creator of Netflix hit Sabrina. Alan Ball the original series creator has also agreed to work on the reboot.

The series which aired on HBO had everyone vampire obsessed, during its prime it had 5 million same-day viewers per episode.

Anna Paquin who was one of the main stars of the series tweeted that she didn’t know anything about the reboot but that could be because it’s very top secret.

The actress tweeted “well, this is the first I’m hearing about this.”

It’s been 12 years since the hit show first aired on the premium cable channel back in 2008 and had viewers on the edge of their seats watching the show that was based on novels by Charlaine Harris.

The show followed the story of vampires living amongst humans in a town called Bon Temps in Louisiana of course like any good vampire drama it was filled with love and war!

The Hollywood Reporter reached out to HBO for comment but they didn’t say anything so everything is very much on the down low.

It starred Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer as the main characters, but the cast was filled with talented familiar faces including Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Ryan Kwanten, Nelsan Ellis, Chris Bauer, Carrie Preston, Alexander Skarsgard, Joe Manganiello and Kristin Bauer van Straten.

As soon as we hear more we will update you. Fingers crossed these vampires will be back on our screens soon!
