According to new findings, Netflix is all making us ALL cry in public

Shedding a few tears on the Luas...

Not many of us can admit to crying in public.

But it happens. Whether you were broken up with in the middle of town, or received some upsetting news while in the cinema… sh*t can hit the fan and it happens.

However, when watching a TV show, we usually do it in the comfort of our own homes and can shed a tear without fearing someone is looking at us.

Well… or so we thought.

New data from Netflix has found that we’re all crying in public more; because we’re all watching Netflix in public more.

The research was conducted by SurveyMonkey and from 37,056 responses in 22 countries, it found that 22 percent have cried while watching shows while out and about.

But that’s not all… when it comes to watching a series in public, 35 percent said that strangers have stopped them to ask them what they’re watching.

44 percent have caught someone watching their screen over their shoulder, and 37 percent admitted to binging on a show while in work.

Eddy Wu, director of production innovation at Netflix, said: “The introduction of the Netflix download feature has given users the freedom to watch their favorite movies and shows wherever they want, like during their commute or waiting in line, and for some… that means at work or even in a public restroom.”

Interesting…
