There’s no denying that Love Island has basically become a summer staple over the last few years.
Which is why we were particularly buzzing to find out that an Australian version of the series began this year – and that it would be making its way to television screens over here.

Towards the end of this month, Love Island Australia will premiere in Ireland – with 12 new contestants entering a brand new villa, with a $50,000 up for grabs at the end of it.
And RTE’s Eoghan McDermott will add a bit of Irish humour the show, as he provides the ‘voice’ of it all.
Love Island Australia is due to kick off exclusively on 3e on July 23 at 10.05pm – and these are the first batch of contestants.
