Maybe there’s time for another edit?

The world was devastated yesterday at the news that Anna Faris and Chris Pratt were separating after eight years of marriage.

On announcing the split, the couple said they still had love and respect for one another and fans will soon get a glimpse into their marriage as Anna is set to release a new memoir.

Some advance copies of the book, Unqualified, have already been released to the US media for review and put a sad twist on the news of the couple’s separation.

Excerpts released by Entertainment Weekly show that Anna has plenty of good things to say about her now former husband.

“When I met Chris, the most striking thing about him was that he knew how to be happy. When I looked back at my marriage, and many of my relationships before it, I realized I had always equated cynicism, discontent, and anger with intelligence, and getting together with Chris made me reexamine that.

“It made me realize that being with someone who was well-liked and popular actually made me happy.”

She also dedicates a chapter to Chris, listing the things he does for her including sending hand-written letters and buying her flowers.

However, the book also reveals that there was some jealousy within the couple when it came to on-screen love interests.

Anna admits that she felt jealous of some of Chris’ co-stars throughout the years but notes that she came to befriend the women he worked with, especially Jennifer Lawrence. Meanwhile, she reveals that he also had moments of jealousy over scenes she filmed with Chris Evans for a film a number of years ago.

The most heart-breaking part of the book is surely the foreword, written by Chris about Anna.

“She is fierce and very loyal, she rarely punishes people. But when she does, it’s powerful and terrifying, and when it’s over, it’s really over. (Power and terror are acceptable in a partner but absolutely necessary in a mother, as far as I’m concerned). And she does mother very well, both our son, Jack, and me, when needed.”

Unqualified had been due to hit shelves in October but it’s not known whether it will be changed or even published at all.
