Ansel Elgort channeled Baby Driver while in the middle of a blizzard

He's up for a Golden Globe this weekend.

Definitely don’t try this at home, though.

Most of the east coast in North America was hit by a ‘bomb cyclone’ on Thursday.

And while many people would’ve chosen to bundle up, or even simply avoid the roads altogether, Ansel Elgort took the chance to channel his lead role from Baby Driver.

The 23-year-old proved to be just as skilful behind the wheel as his on-secreen alter ego in the short video, which was filmed in an empty parking lot.

He can be seen grinning out the window of what appears to be the same car (or at least a very similar one) from the start of the film, before gunning the engine and driving donuts through he space.

He simply captioned the video:

“Nyc snowstorm no worries baby will give u a ride ?”

It comes as the actor was nominated for a Golden Globe last month for his role in Baby Driver.

And he recently shared a sweet social media post about how “crazy” it was that he and Timothée Chalamet, who knew each other from high school, were nominated this year.

The 23-year-old was nominated for best actor in a motion picture, comedy or musical, while Chalamet was nominated for best actor in a motion picture, drama for his role in Call Me By Your Name.

He wrote:

“Laguardia high school pride. It’s really crazy, Timmy and I played on the same basketball team, we had the same drama teacher Mr.Shifman, we had the same science teacher Mr.Singh, and then in the same year, both of us are nominated for a f$&king Golden Globe!!!

“Living the dream sitting courtside at the Knicks game together. Life is crazy. Congrats to you Timmy.”
