Anton’s mum says she ‘didn’t like’ Belle before gifting her a razor on tonight’s Love Island

The torch has been passed.

Look lads, we know. Tonight's episode of Love Island isn't going to be the most explosive in the world. Sure, we've got one couple being dumped right before the final, but we've also got the parents episode, which is - although adorable - a bit dull. During tonight's episode, Maura will meet Curtis's parents. India's mum will joke that Ovie is "better looking in real life." Tommy will not be visited by Tyson Fury. All standard enough events, to be honest. But then comes Anton's mum, barreling into the villa to tell her son that she missed him so much, that she didn't like Belle in the beginning, and to eventually pass the razor onto her. A lot to process, we know. “I didn’t like her at first," she tells Anton. "But I get her. And what I like about her is she’s stood up for you the whole time. She’s got your back.” Anton's mum then says that she was really sad at the beginning of the show because her son was "getting pied all the time." She then presents Belle with the razor - a token of her love for her son, and her acceptance of Belle as a human being. Doesn't get more raw than that, does it? Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two.
