They first entered the house as the "other housemates" and were forced to live in a second house beside the main Big Brother house, spying on the housemates. But by living together in such close proximity the boy's feelings began to develop and they ended up leaving the house as a couple.
Now, they've just shared the news that they are engaged. They both tweeted within minutes of each other sharing the good news with Ryan saying, "So the cats out the bag me and @hughie_maughan are officially engaged! So happy and can’t wait for the future #biggaygypsywedding ??"
And Hughie tweeting, "FINALLY me and ryan can announce that we are officially ENGAGED! We are so happy and everything feels right, huge hi five 2 the doubters."

We are so happy and everythin feels right, huge hi five 2 the doubters?♥?? — Hughie maughan (@hughie_maughan) September 29, 2016Ryan was the more controversial housemate of the two and often had run-ins with other housemates. In the end, he was booted out before it came to the final stage, whereas Hughie was a massive favourite and ended up coming second in the series. Ryan only recently met Hughie's parents and Hughie told The Sun:
"I suppose it’s awkward when a guy brings his girlfriend home, even more so when it’s a guy. But we just got on with things and we were in the same bed."Congrats to the happy couple!
