Bridgerton star says season two will have Harry and Meghan-esque storyline
The plot thickens.
Bridgerton actress Adjoa Andoh has given fans a snippet of what to expect in season two - and it's all very topical.
Adjoa, who plays Lady Danbury, revealed that the plot thickens for the second season, and it might just mirror the recent story of two very famous former royals.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actress teased that there would be a little Harry and Meghan flavour in Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset's upcoming storyline.
"I really can't say too much, nor would you expect me to," Adjoa said. "But I guess what we do know absolutely is that they're married now."
She continued: "It's a new married life and they have the baby, so there are all the vagaries of what that is like for young people with a new baby.
"I mean Harry and Meghan, what's it like when you have a new baby? How does it affect you when you are a young couple with a new baby?"
Adjoa then gave a more specific insight into season two's plot.
She said: "I just think we're going to see how Phoebe and Regé's characters, Daphne and Simon, navigate being in love, very in lust still, but with a new baby in their lives."
She added: "Having to navigate and negotiate that between each other, between their families and between their wider social circles. Yeah, it's going to be interesting."
Recently, the future of Bridgerton has been puzzling for many. We know that a season two is on the way, but when exactly remains unclear.
Last week, fans were sent into disarray when actor Luke Newton shared a photo from the show's set. He captioned it "The boys are back in town".
Shortly after, many fans assumed that filming was taking place. However, Newton quickly added a "throwback" hashtag to dispel the speculation.
