Cards Against Humanity is apparently being turned into a TV show

cards against humanity

Do we really need this in our lives?

Well it doesn’t matter because it looks like it’s happening regardless.

If you’ve ever played Cards Against Humanity, you’ll probably be fairly familiar with the format.

You and your mates get a load of cards. You and your mates have a glance (and maybe even a giggle) at your cards.

Whoever’s turn it is picks a card from the deck that’ll have at least one blank in it. You and all your mates go through your cards to figure out what would make the most shocking, obscene, offensive, horrific, upsetting, and just downright wrong statement.

Whoever has the worst one, wins.

That’s it.

The game itself is grand, if not a tad tedious when nobody has any decent cards and the winning combinations are all just things that are vaguely funny as opposed to hysterical, but apparently some TV producers in the UK have decided to take the game to the next level and create a literal TV show around it.

Fun.

The Sun reports that Comedy Central has commissioned a pilot for the series and are currently on the prowl for contestants who won’t be easily offended.

Better tell your contrarian ex that his time has come, so.

A source told the publication:

“While other channels are scrambling to make programmes as PC as possible, Comedy Central has declared war on the easily offended with what could be one of the most complained-about shows.

“Anyone who has ever played Cards Against Humanity knows it’s not for the timid. But it’s also hilarious and has sold millions by tapping into the thrill we all get — but don’t admit to — when we say something we shouldn’t.”

What could possibly go wrong, eh?
