The cast for Shonda Rhimes’ Netflix series based on con artist Anna Delvey has been announced.
The 10-episode limited series is now titled Inventing Anna.
On Thursday evening, Netflix announced Julia Garner, Anna Chlumsky, Laverne Cox, Katie Lowes, and Alexis Floyd have all joined the show.
The series is said to be based on the New York Magazine article How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People by Jessica Pressler.
Joining Julia & Anna in the @Shondaland project are @KatieQLowes as Rachel, a natural born follower whose blind worship of Anna almost destroys her life; @Lavernecox as Kacy Duke, a life coach; and Alexis Floyd as Neff, who street-smart aspiring filmmaker who collides with Anna pic.twitter.com/Fv9jThfWSf

Chlumsky will play a journalist with a lot to prove who is drawn into investigating the case of Anna Delvey, played by Ozark’s Garner, an Instagram-legendary heiress who captured the hearts of the people in the New York social scene.
Oh, and she took their money, too.
Lowes will play Rachel, a natural born follower whose blind worship of Delvey almost destroys her life. Floyd will play Neff, a street-smart aspiring filmmaker who collides with Anna.
Cox, meanwhile, will play life coach Kacey Duke.
No release date for Inventing Anna has been set just yet, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed that it will be sooner rather than later (pretty please, Netflix?!).
