“This. Is. Happening.”

Channing Tatum has confirmed that Magic Mike is heading to Broadway.

The 38-year-old actor shared the first look at Magic Mike The Musical in an Instagram post earlier this week.

Alongside a Playbill for the show (with a few dollar bills inside it), he captioned the photo:

“This. Is. Happening. Get ready for Magic Mike… THE BROADWAY MUSICAL. World premiere at the @EmersonColonial Theatre in Boston this November.”

Deadline note that Magic Mike The Musical will have a different plot from the Magic Mike Live show, which is currently playing in Las Vegas and London.

In fact, the show has been described as a “musical prequel” to the 2012 film and its 2015 sequel, Magic Mike XXL.

The show reportedly  “tells the story of college-student-turned-male-entertainer Mike Lane. Struggling to make ends meet, Mike takes a job dancing at an exclusive night club… and winds up loving every minute of it.”

As he struggled to hide his alter ego from his dad and his girlfriend, Mike finds he needs to make some seriously difficult choices.

Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is writing the book for the musical, while Choir Boy’s Trip Cullman will direct the show. Next to Normal composers, Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, will compose the music.

Previews for Magic Mike The Musical will begin on November 30 in Boston, while the show will officially open on December 15 and will run until January 5, 2020.
