Cheryl says it took her six months to 'feel human' after having baby Bear
The singer became a mum just over a year ago.
Cheryl has taken time out of the limelight over the last year since welcoming her first child, Bear.
Yes, the mum-of-one has been noticeably quiet for the last 12 months, however, in her latest interview she admits it’s mainly due to her not feeling herself for a long time after having her son Bear.
The 33-year-old says that it took her nearly six months after Bear was born to feel like herself again.
Cheryl says that she developed dark circles and pigmentation during her pregnancy and it affected her self-confidence.
“My son’s one and I had to do something,” Cheryl told Hello!
“When I was pregnant I had pigmentation on my face so I wanted to start to correct that. I would say my beauty regime came back after about six months.
“That’s how long it takes to start feeling human again.”
Since welcoming her first son, Cheryl says she has started to take better care of her skin and body and appreciates her body a lot more.
“You realise how much you need to take care of yourself and you respect your body a lot more for what it can do – I do, anyway.”
Cheryl also revealed her (not-so)secret to juggling being a mum with her career.
“Um, grandparents! And I just plan ahead. It’s planning not to fail.
“I’m quite organised when it comes to the baby because I have to be. And if I plan, then I can book in the grandparents.”
