The album, which went straight to #1 in Ireland, has cemented the Irish singer as one of our country's biggest stars.
And it looks like the only way is up for CMAT following her Mercury Prize nomination.
Responding to the news, the singer said part of her didn't want to win the 2024 Mercury Prize for her album, Crazymad, for Me.
The album was nominated in the 2024 awards, but was beaten by English Teacher's album This Could Be Texas.
CMAT admitted that she knew she could create a better album.
"I had a weird thing happen at the Mercury Prize 2024 when Annie Mac was announcing who the winner was. As she was reading it, I had this weird flip in my stomach, that I didn’t want to win the Mercury Prize for THAT record, because I had a feeling that I could make something better.
"Two days later, I started to make EURO-COUNTRY. The Mercury Prize put a bottle rocket up my bum, to try and do something a bit more cutting edge and experimental and intense, if that makes sense," the singer shared.
"I didn’t necessarily expect to be nominated again as a result, but I am very happy to have been."
CMAT will perform in Dublin's 3Arena this December, making it her biggest headline show to date. She will also perform a headline gig at Dublin's St. Anne's Park in May 2026.
With the ability to create an album as remarkable as Euro-Country, it is evident that CMAT is set for superstardom.
And there's nobody more deserving of it than Dunboyne Diana.
