If you’re planning on staying in on Friday evening, you might find yourself watching the Late Late.

And on Friday, September 14, there is a really interesting line-up to look forward to.

The show is hosting a special panel discussion that focuses on issues impacting people in their 20s and 30s.

“Writer Stefanie Preissner, actor John Connors and footballer Philly McMahon will join host Ryan Tubridy to chat about everything from the horror of the housing and rental markets and the uncertainty of the gig economy to the rise in anxiety and the impact of social media culture,” a statement from RTÉ reads.

“They’ll be discussing what’s troubling a generation emerging from a decade of austerity to find that the recovery may not be all that it seems.”

Otherwise, comedian Pat Shortt will be chatting through his recent Who Do You Think You Are? episode. And Ryan will also meet some of the people featured in the new behind-the-scenes documentary at The Rotunda – including a mum with ten children; and one of the handful of male midwives working in Ireland.

RuthAnne is furthermore in studio; she’ll touch on how she forged her own singing career having previously co-written hits for Britney Spears, JoJo, and Niall Horan.

Finally, and as thousands prepare to attend this year’s National Ploughing Championships, Ryan will look at three different aspects of modern Irish farming – including the teenage girls preparing to raise their own calves.

The Late Late Show, RTÉ One, Friday, September 14 at 9.35pm
