If there was ever a perfect role for an actor, we’re pretty sure this is it.
Rumours had been swirling recently that Tom Hardy would be taking one the role of one of the world’s most notorious criminals but it was confirmed this week that he will, in fact, play two. The man himself spoke this week about taking on the challenge of playing brothers Ronnie and Reggie Kray, who ruled London’s organised crime scene in the 1950s and 1960s.
“I’m on that right now. I’ve got to work out how to play both twins, which will be fun. It’s another experiment and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself, I just want to have some fun and see what’s out there and explore with the work,” he said.
“The more of a challenge I give myself, the easier it is to take on more projects which are complicated in the future, if that makes sense. It might not be the greatest movie in the world, but that’s not the pressure you put on yourself. You never know what you’re going to get.”
