Coronation Street’s Carla plagued by guilt and paranoia following factory collapse

You would be, yeah.

A few weeks back, Coronation Street was met with death, destruction, and dire consequences as the roof of Underworld collapsed, leaving Rana dead and Kate without the love of her life.

It was all very tragic and upsetting for all involved, especially Kate who had lost Rana… and Rana, who had died.

Another person also feeling the suffering after effects of the roof collapse is Carla Connor, most likely because she knew there was something up with the roof but didn’t bother to do anything.

But also because she’s being stalked and it’s triggering rampant paranoia on her end – so much so that the upcoming weeks could mean the beginning of the end for the factory boss.

Just kidding, it probably won’t, but what it does mean is that Carla’s mental condition is only going to deteriorate as time goes on.

Going forward, she’ll become increasingly convinced that someone is watching her through her laptop webcam, that crosswords are warning her of the dangers around her, and that even Peter is somehow involved in the plot to take her down.

Her paranoia gets so bad that she bolts from the mental health centre, convinced that she’s being tricked into receiving help.

This comes as Carla makes the (incorrect) decision to stop taking her medication following her kidney transplant last year.

Upcoming scenes will show her confessing to Roy that she decided to stop taking her meds, leading to Roy’s worry that she might need to get another transplant if she doesn’t go back on them soon.

Really not having a great time of it, is she?
