Corrie’s Amy Barlow to decide whether or not to keep her baby next week

Jade Hayden

It’s all kicking off.

It’s happening. It’s here. It’s all about to go down as Coronation Street’s Amy Barlow is about to discover she’s pregnant, tell her family, and tear all of their tiny worlds apart.

Can’t wait, to be honest.

The dramatic, surprising, and apparently quite funny scenes are set to kick off next week as Amy discovers she’s expecting and tells grandmother Audrey about it.

And while we know/assume/are very much guessing that the teenager is in fact going to keep the baby judging by the amount of hype around this storyline, things don’t exactly start off that way.

Rather, once Amy finds out that there’s a child currently growing inside her, she decided that she’s going to have an abortion – that is, until, she talks to Faye Windass.

Faye, who also gave birth at just 13-years-old, doesn’t try to convince Amy to keep the baby, but she does have a candid chat about pregnancy and birth with the teen.

That, coupled with the knowledge that she is 10 weeks along and therefore would have to have a surgical abortion instead of a medical one, is likely enough to convince Amy that she may as well try be a mother.

… Or Tracy and Steve are just going to raise the child as their own.

Either or.

While all of this is going down, the pair are very much on the hunt for whoever got their daughter pregnant.

Apparently, it’s going to end up being Tyler Jefferies – aka: the tee gang leader and enemy of Peter Barlow’s son, Simon.

Great. What could possibly go wrong?

These scenes will kick off on Corrie from next week on.
