Look, Coronation Street is a very stressful, emotional, and frustrating watch.
You can hardly come away from an episode without being like, ‘yeah I’m actually exhausted and upset and pretty angry that Pat Phelan is still knocking about despite all my protestation, but whatever.’
It’s a wild ride from start to finish.
And it turns out it’s about to get even wilder (or sadder, whichever) because it looks like a new cheating storyline is about to kick off involving one of our favourite cobbles couples and we are just a bit devo, tbh.
New promo shots from ITV reveal that Kirk is chatting to his new dog training client, Sharon and it seems like she might be up for a bit more than just chatting if you know what we mean.
There they are there now. Chatting. Cosy.
It’s only when Tyrone spots the pair out and about though and points out that Sharon has bought Kirk a new shirt and kissed him on the cheek a few times that Kirk cops on that someone actually fancies him.
And this time it’s not his wife, Beth.
Tragic.
Kirk understandably freaks out, won’t tell Beth where he got the shirt from, and says that they need to stop the dog training.
Beth, however, wants him to continue because they need the money so Kirk is inadvertently sent back out to the woman who’s trying to steal him from his wife.
A modern tragedy, if we ever saw one.
