The Mirror reports that Norris is going to return after a brief stint away to reveal that he's sold the little shop without telling Rita first - which is absolutely going to come as a shock considering Rita's worked there for about five decades.
She even owned the place before Norris came along and took it off her hands when she was going through a questionable stage money wise.
Despite that though, she's worked there a long while and the fact that Norris is swooping in now and just selling the gaff straight up really doesn't bode well for their friendship at all.
Malcolm Hebden, who plays Norris, will be returning to the street some time next year after time off due to health reasons.
Late last year, he suffered a 'silent' heart attack which left him fighting for his life.
The 78-year-old was admitted to hospital in December soon after he had to be tended to by medics on the Corrie set.
Hebden later said that he hadn't realised how bad his heart had gotten until he was told that he had split a hole in his left ventricle.
The actor spent three weeks in a coma before undergoing a procedure that saw his heart patched up with tissue from a cow.Everyone has the same issue with The Housemaid movie
