Kerry County Council looks set to lodge a complaint to RTÉ over Room to Improve.
The Kerryman reports that the move has been prompted by a local Councillor, who expressed frustration over the show at a meeting last week.
Cllr Pat McCarthy said be believed the show was “failing viewers and the public” because it didn’t a true indication of the planning process.
McCarthy explained that one particular episode, broadcast on December 19th of 2014, left him exacerbated as designs were revamped twice during the project, without any mention of the fact that the owners had changed their planning permission.
He said: “If people watched that they’ll think ‘sure all we have to do is hire that man and he’ll do all the changes and we won’t need planning.”
He then asked management to write to the broadcaster to highlight the issue.
