She said that it was a "traumatic scene and a great moment for Cersei," which was ultimately left out of the final edit.
Speaking about the scene, she said:
"I kind of loved doing that because I thought it would've served her differently."
Lena has spoken about her disappointment with Cersei's ending, admitting that she got a tame ending for such a vicious character.
Speaking to The Guardian about the final season of Game of Thrones:
"I will say I wanted a better death. Obviously you dream of your death. You could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted."
