She was hospitalised back in July.

Demi Lovato made a welcomed return to social media this week after nearly four months away from the spotlight.

The singer last posted online back in July before she was hospitalised due to an overdose but shared a snap with followers this week for a very important reason.

Demi took to Instagram to share a snap from the voting booth as she cast her vote in the midterm elections in the US, saying:

“I am so grateful to be home in time to vote.

“One vote can make a difference, so make sure your voice is heard!”

The post naturally had fans delighted to see the singer back online after finishing her stint in rehab last month.

“Keeping your continued health and happiness in all my thoughts and prayers,” wrote one fan.

“You’re one of the strongest women I’ve ever known,” wrote another.

“I’m grateful you’re healthy.”

Demi’s last post on her page is dated back to July after she deleted the statement she posted shortly after her overdose.

“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction,” she wrote.

“What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time.

“It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet. I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well.

“To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond.

“Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time.”
