Derry Girls actress shares hilarious behind the scenes photo

"I've decided to share with you the greatest picture of me that’s ever been taken."

Derry Girls

Last night’s episode of Derry Girls was just as good as the first two, if not even better.

This time around the group of girls, and the token boy in the group, go in search of a dog that looks very like Erin’s recently deceased dog Toto. The mysterious dog leads them to a church where the group believe they see a statue of Mary winking and then crying.

A local priest, played by Irish actor Peter Campion of Love/Hate fame, is drafted in to help with the supposed apparition and suggests that Toto has come back from the dead to lead them to the sign from God.

While the group, and their parents, try to come to terms with his theory, Erin struggles to contain the information about what really happened.

All in all, a very good episode.

But, while Toto was the centre of attention for the episode, it appears he didn’t go down too well on set.

Nicola Coughlan, who plays Claire on the show, shared a photo last night of herself and Toto’s first encounter. Let’s just say it didn’t go as well as she hoped.

Taking to Twitter she said, “I’ve decided to share with you the greatest picture of me that’s ever been taken. AKA: The Day I met a cute dog on set and it instantly went very wrong.”

Ouch!
