The third and final season of Lisa McGee's Derry Girls made its highly anticipated return to our screens last night, much to the delight of loyal fans everywhere.

The touching comedy series follows the lives of five friends Erin (Saoirse-Monica Jackson), Orla (Louisa Harland), Clare (Nicola Coughlan), Michelle (Jamie-Lee O'Donnell) and James (Dylan Llewellyn), as they come of age in the final years of the Troubles in Derry, Northern Ireland.

In last night's episode, titled The Night Before, the teens were up to their usual shenanigans as they attempted to film a documentary about peace. However, after sneaking into school after-hours, they encountered two men clearing out computers, and innocently started helping them.

The gang then landed themselves in some serious trouble and were brought to the police station for interrogation.
