Disney has unveiled the character posters for the live-action Dumbo remake and they are enchanting

We LOVE the Dumbo one.

Disney has been remaking a number of our favourite classics, from Beauty and the Beast to The Jungle Book.

But, we’ll admit it, the one we’re most excited for is Dumbo.

The film, starring Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Eva Green, and Danny DeVito, is a re-imagining of the 1941 animated classic.

It tells the story of a struggling circus owner, Max Medici, who enlists former star Holt Farrier and his children Milly and Joe to care for a newborn elephant – who is a laughingstock in an already struggling circus due to his huge ears.

When they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere, who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland.

Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant, until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.

Following on the release of the trailer last month, Disney has now unveiled the character posters – and even Dumbo gets one.

The trailer comes as a number of other Disney classics are set to get the remake treatment, including Mulan, The Lion King and Aladdin.

  • Dumbo will fly into movie theatres in Ireland in March 2019.
