The Late Late Show is well and truly back, and with Covid cases on the rise, you’d be forgiven for wanting to stay on the couch this Friday.
And if you do, you’ll probably end up watching The Late Late.
Here’s who they’ve got on the show this week.
Actor Domhnall Gleeson, (son of Donald Trump, sorry Brendan Gleeson) will be discussing his current and upcoming film projects, as well as the importance of the work of the Irish Hospice Foundation and his close association with the organisation.
Gloria Estefan, of ‘Rhythm Is Gonna Get You’ fame, will speak to Ryan about her career highs and lows, as well as giving her take on the current state of US Politics.
Hazel Chu will be on to chat about breaking the glass ceiling as the first person from an ethnic background to become Lord Mayor of Dublin, what life was like for her growing up in Firhouse as the daughter of Chinese immigrants, fighting racism, and how Dublin is coping with Covid-19.
Tubridy will also be chatting with TV presenter Dermot O’Leary about a summer that saw him become a new dad, and discover he had Covid antibodies, as well as his bestselling series of children’s books.
Denise Chaila, the Zambian-born, Limerick artist will chat about being one of the stand-out stars of the Irish music scene in 2020, and will perform her single ‘Chaila’.
The Irish dancing group Cairde, who have risen to popularity on TikTok, will chat about their meteoric rise to fame, and what it was like garnering millions of hits for their dance videos during the pandemic.
There will also be a special acoustic performance from James Vincent McMorrow, and Francis Brennan will be in studio, talking about the importance of keeping a diary when things aren’t going too well.
The Late Late Show kicks off at 9.35pm on RTÉ One on Friday.
