A drive-in, sing-along A Star Is Born screening is happening in Dublin and oh holy God

Jade Hayden

Watch as I dive in… to my car to attend this event.

A Star Is Born is a great film.

It’s entertaining, it’s emotional, it’s mildly funny in parts but mainly heartbreaking and we don’t care what you say, Lady Gaga deserved that Best Actress awards at the Golden Globes – she was robbed, alright??

Anyway, it doesn’t matter because there’s a drive-in, sing-along event happening in Dublin soon to make us forget all about the above controversy.

And yes, we will be going.

Hosted by 98FM’s Retro Drive-In Movies, A Star Is Born will be shown on the county’s largest LED screen on March 29, 30 and 31 at Leopardstown Racecourse.

Audience members just need to roll up in their cars, get their radios on, get a bit of food in, and enjoy the film.

Tickets start at €30.90 for a five seater car and €33.50 for a seven seater (not including booking fee.)

They’re on sale right now too so you might want to rally the troops ASAP if you want to go to this event.

This comes after people were pretty angry that the film was snubbed of most of the major awards at this year’s Golden Globes.

The Best Picture, Best Actress, and Best Director awards were all given to other artists and films, leaving A Star Is Born with credit only for Best Song.

Which, in fairness, it absolutely does have.

‘Shallow’ is a banger – and soon, you’ll be able to sing it at a drive-in.

Unreal.

You can book tickets here.
