He is now reported to be hosting his own news-style show a few times a week alongside other big journalists.
Eamonn and Ruth's hours on the show were reduced last December with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary taking over some of their hosting slots.
Eamonn, however, found himself in a little bit of trouble earlier this year when she suggested there might be a link between 5G and Covid-19 which is said to have upset his bosses at ITV and sparked complaints to Ofcom and was forced to issue an apology.
Giving his support to GB News after the channel initially launched this year, tweeting that he hoped it would have a "decent chance" as a channel.
He said: "We need a shakeup on the news front. I have huge respect for TV news but this is a reminder that news is not just Westminister or a constant woke agenda."
Fans are now doubting whether Ruth will stick to the ITV show after her husband's big news.
