Giving his support to GB News after the channel initially launched this year, tweeting that he hoped it would have a "decent chance" as a channel.
He said: "We need a shakeup on the news front. I have huge respect for TV news but this is a reminder that news is not just Westminister or a constant woke agenda."
Fans are now doubting whether Ruth will stick to the ITV show after her husband's big news.
