EastEnders has confirmed a heartbreaking death storyline for one of the show’s most beloved characters.
Dot Branning was reunited with her close friend, and long-time physician, Dr. Harold Legg last night [October 19] after she became alarmed about her health.
The pair took a stroll down memory lane, reminiscing about their time in Walford together, before he gave her a clean bill of health assured her that she was definitely not dying.
To celebrate the news, she invited him to join her at the Vic for Robbie Jackson’s birthday party – giving Dr. Legg the chance to reunite with Sonia and Martin, who he hadn’t seen for years.

In an emotional moment, Dr. Legg admitted to Dot that he had recently been to see the doctor – and gotten a devastating diagnosis.
He told her:
“There’s something very special about this place, you know.
“I’m glad I got back to see it again, well, to see you again, Dot. I’m the only one here that’s unwell. As a matter of fact, I’m dying.”
The heartbreaking revelation was particularly tragic for viewers, who took to social media to react to the news.
