EastEnders‘ Ian Beale has been revealed as the soap character people fancy the most.
Every week, millions of people tune in to catch up with the lives of their favourite soap characters – whether it’s those in Corrie’s Weatherfield or EastEnders’ Albert Square. So, it’s no surprise that some people develop a crush on their favourite character.
And for the week that’s in it, UKTV Play looked at Reddit and Mumsnet threads – as well as other social media channels – to find out the unlikely soap characters that people have crushes on.
It turns out that EastEnders’ Ian Beale is the most-fancied male soap character – while EastEnders’ Pat Butcher tops the list of female soap characters that viewers fancy the most.
They were both mentioned in almost all of the threads regarding soap character crushes, proving that there’s lasting love for these characters. Other characters taking the top spots on the list include David Platt from Coronation Street and Zak Dingle from Emmerdale.
