When Bex's passport goes missing, she confronts her mum - who tells her that she doesn't want her to leave. But she starts to see things from her daughter's perspective after Jack and Max step in, and Bex writes her mum a letter.
Speaking after the news of her departure, Armfield said she had had "such a fantastic time" playing Bex and being part of EastEnders.
"But now feels like the right time to try something new. I’ve made friends for life working on the show and shall miss them all," she continued.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with Jasmine. She’s brought something incredibly special to the role of Bex and we will all miss her - both as a friend and colleague. We wish her the best of luck for the future," executive producer Jon Sen said.
